Sidekicks Instructors
Become a Sidekicks Program Instructor
Being a Sidekicks program instructor means creating meaningful recreational experiences where neurodiverse children and teens can feel supported, included, and successful. Our instructors bring their own skills, passions, and areas of expertise to Sidekicks programs while embracing our whole-child approach—focusing not only on the activity itself, but also on connection, confidence, participation, and creating a welcoming environment for every participant.
If you are passionate about serving the neurodiverse community but aren't sure if your qualifications are a match, Sidekicks Leadership Staff also provides training, guidance, and ongoing support to help you feel confident as you get started. From onboarding and program preparation to your first sessions and beyond, our team works alongside you to help you understand participants' needs, determine an appropriate facility, adapt activities, and create a successful and inclusive program.
Our past and current Sidekicks instructors and contractors include educators, coaches, recreation professionals, occupational therapists, and specialists in areas ranging from sports and movement to arts, cooking, and social emotional learning.
Bring your passion to Sidekicks—we'll help you build the tools and confidence to make a difference.
